Our mission at Jade Gel Pack is to promote healing with our product and our profits. Profits will go to those who have the unfortunate experience of infant loss and cannot afford autopsy. Often autopsy to help determine the cause of a fetal or infant loss are not covered by insurance companies. An autopsy can be a large expense during a very difficult time for families. An explanation as to why a baby died helps bring closure and helps plan future pregnancies. Sometimes, this explanation can only be gained by a fetal autopsy.
In conjunction with (our manufacturer), Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland WA, and Children’s Medical Hospital we plan to bring closure to couples who have lost a child and cannot afford infant autopsy. 10% of our profits will be donated in Jade’s name. We wish to bring relief of pain & discomfort to those who are experiencing the joy of a new baby.
When couples lose a child, they often plant a tree. This business is our tree. After the loss of our first child, I had experienced over 11 days of a painful condition called engorgement, worse than mastitis (which I actually had with our second daughter). After we tried everything on the market, my husband created the first JadeDevice prototype-although rigid it offered amazing reprieve from intense suffering. We felt this was important enough to share, and with the help from Jade’s Grandfather have a patent in progress.
We would like to dedicate this device to our daughter Jade. Profits will go to those who cannot afford an infant autopsy through Evergreen Hospital and/or Children’s Hospital in remembrance of the daughter we lost.
